Bathroom Remodeling Done On A Budget

When remodeling a bathroom space on a budget you do not have to worry about the finished product being any less incredible or glamorous. The designs that you see on Instagram or on TV shows can still be achieved regardless of what your budget is if you know what you are doing. This is because there are many tricks and hacks that you can do nowadays, such as using lookalike surfaces, veneers, etc. If you are currently in the process of remodeling your bathroom or are just thinking about it right now and do not have a large budget then continue reading below for some advice.

Buy second hand

If you are undertaking the remodeling work yourself, you can save a great deal of money by purchasing tools, equipment, and materials on shopping platforms, such as Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and / or eBay. Where you can, and if you feel comfortable doing it, then try to haggle with the seller to make further savings.

An extra little tip here is to use these same platforms to sell resell tools or anything that you have left over once the remodeling is complete.

Use affordable alternatives

Tiled floors and walls in a bathroom can look great, although if you do not have any DIY skills and need to hire someone to do it for you then it can quickly become expensive, especially if the space is a large one. You can reduce the cost of this by opting for a cheaper alternative instead, such as luxury vinyl tiling (LVT).

To save yourself even more money, you could opt for a cheaper flooring alternative, such as lino, although the variety of options may not always be to your liking.

Upcycle bathroom furniture

It may be the case that some of the furniture in your current bathroom is looking a little lackluster or tired, but this does not mean that you should no longer use it and throw it out – there is still potentially some life left in it if looked after correctly. By upcycling these items, you can bring them back to life in a new way.

A handy tip is to go on websites, such as Instagram and Pinterest, to get some inspiration as to the types of things that you can do with an upcycling project.

Add furniture / accessories

Sometimes a change of a few key pieces in a bathroom can be just as good and effective in creating a new look than a full remodel job. Hire specialist shower glass installers to put in a funky new shower glass or add a couple of brand new accessories, such as a unique light fitting, to make certain features or colors within your bathroom to really pop.

House plants are great for adding some color, as well as making your bathroom feel much more natural. There are certain species that are better suited to bathrooms than others, so do some research and get these dotted around the space.
