There are several methods that you can try, but the one that works best is to pour boiling water down the drain, which will cause the clog to break up and dissolve. But if the drain is clogged with standing water, you need to use a more powerful method. Here are a few tips on how to unclog a bathtub drain with standing water.

Before we start to fix the clogged tub drain, let’s first see what you can do if you don’t have standing water inside your tub. If you have no standing water inside your tub, then there are different reasons behind this issue. Let’s check out the reasons below.

1: Broken or broken plumbing

The broken or broken plumbing is the most common reason that causes standing water in the bathtub. If you have this problem, then you need to replace the broken plumbing parts. However, there are a number of issues that can break the plumbing of the tub. You can call a plumber for this issue.

2: Clogged bathtub drain

Another reason that causes the standing water in the bathtub is the clogged bathtub drain. If you have this issue, then you need to remove the clogged drain. You can use any drain opener to remove the clogged drain. Once you open the clogged drain, you need to pour boiling water in the bathtub to clean the bathtub. 5: Water leak in the bathroom

Sometimes, there is a leak in the bathroom. If you have a leak, then you need to repair the leak. You can fix the leak by calling a plumber for this issue.

6: Too much water in the tub

If you have too much water in the tub, then you need to drain the tub. You can drain the water by turning off the faucet.

Follow the steps to unclog a bathtub drain with standing water

Step 1: Turn off the water valve: Turn off the water valve and wait for the water to drain. Wait at least 30 minutes.

Step 2: Drain the tub: Remove the stopper from the tub. Remove the plug from the bottom of the tub. Drain the water out of the tub.

Step 3: Pour in enough baking soda: Pour some baking soda into the tub. You want to pour enough baking soda to cover the bottom of the tub.

Step 4: Let it sit: Put a towel over the top of the tub. Let it sit overnight.

Step 5: Pour vinegar: Pour a cup of white vinegar into the tub. Let it sit overnight.

Step 6: Rinse: Turn on the water and let it run until it’s clear.

To remove the clogged drain, you need to use a plumbing tool. You can use a plunger to remove the clogged drain. In case of an issue with the tub, you can clean the tub by using boiling water.
