The windows in white, black, chromed uPVC, etc. they are specially assembled to save money and also to be able to respect nature. It is a very inexpensive material which at the same time allows the heat/air to be trapped inside a house, without dispersion occurring.

Although the assembly and the rendering are perfect in all their aspects, there is a factor to consider very importantly or the cleanliness. Even this gesture turns into an easy and fast action. At the same time, it is necessary to follow small tips to do it better, especially if you are in front of the white color.

How to whiten uPVC window frames?

Do you have doubts about how to whiten uPVC window frames? Here are a few simple steps to obtain an optimal result in a short time and without effort!

The PVC frames are the most used due to their versatility and utililità, durable over time and with minimal maintenance required. In fact, this material does not rot, does not mold and does not deteriorate with time or due to external agents.

This type of window, if well maintained, preserved and cleaned, guarantees a very slow ageing process. To make them always clean and to maintain the white color, the advice is to always proceed with the elimination of dust and smog that affects the paints and deteriorates them easily, especially on the outside.

4 Step to clean the white uPVC windows

To better clean the white PVC windows, proceed as follows:

  1. Remove the dust with a dry white cloth, trying to pay attention to scratches or excessive rubbing;
  2. Make use of neutral detergent with lukewarm water, using a sponge or a microfibre cloth which will clean the surface without damaging it;
  3. At will, you can also use steam machines using a low temperature, obtaining the maximum result in no time;
  4. Remember that uPVC windows have small holes in the frame, created specifically for draining water during rain. At that point, debris is formed that would be better eliminated in order not to damage it over time and to do so, just use the light vacuum cleaner with a small gentle wash, without rubbing.

Do not underestimate the sun, which is an enemy for the seals and the closing and opening mechanisms of the fixtures. In this specific case, it is sufficient to use petroleum jelly, which in addition to being very soft, also eliminates any type of oxidation; alternatively, buy lithium grease, which softens the part of the seals.

If the white part of the uPVC window has a slight beginning of yellowing, in addition to the classic neutral detergents recommended, you can opt directly for the bicarbonate dissolved in plenty of water and passed on the fixtures with a white and delicate cloth, without lint or abrasive parts. The main problem arises during the summer, especially if you live in the sea area and during the winter due to the cold temperatures, on the outside – as mentioned: the advice is to pass the bicarbonate once a week, after elimination of dust in order to preserve the yellowing and blackening of the materials.

Always exclude detergents with corrosive chemical agents and with high abrasion level preservatives.
