Frameless

A popular favorite currently is frameless glass shower doors Frederick County MD. Frameless shower doors can come with hinges or folding. The beauty of the glass isn’t marred with the frame of the shower.

Fixed

This type of shower door features a fixed pane of glass or other wall without the benefit of a full enclosure. An individual simply walks into the shower space with no current or door to close. A common feature in modern homes or bathrooms with limited space.

Shape

Rectangular is the standard shape of a shower door. However, many shower spaces have become very creative. Doors are available in a semi-circle for round showers.

Bathtub Door

A partial door can be placed on top of a tub/shower enclosure. It replaces the standard shower curtain with the look and design of a stand-alone shower door. The door usually features a standing piece of glass with a hinged partial door taking up close to half the tub edge.

Framed

Framed doors offer an affordable option for many homeowners. The glass can come in clear, designed or frosted for added privacy. These doors are usually made with aluminum or composite material with usually a silver or brass finish.

Sliding

Similar to a patio door, these sliding or bypass doors don’t swing out or inward like traditional shower doors. Mechanical rollers and tracks are both options for operating the door. These are suitable for tub/shower combinations as well as stand-alone showers.

Your shower door can add to the bathroom’s décor and increase the overall function. Select a shower door that fits the space. With so many options, you’re bound to find the right one to showcase your style.
