But the most frustrating moment happens when your garage door won’t open all the way.  Definitely, we expect that it will work on our command. But it causes anger when you are set to go to your children’s school or your office and you can’t get your car out. At that very moment, a question arises why your garage door won’t open all the way.

Remember your gate is always under a huge amount of tension which helps it to open and close easily. So, if something went wrong it can pose a serious amount of threat to the homeowners. So obviously before doing any sort of repairing on your own, you should go through the user manual or instructions related to garage door openers. And if you think it is not your piece of cake don’t lag behind to call on your professionals.

#1 Blockage of the photo-eye

A photo eye of the maximum garage door is situated 4-6 inches above the ground. The main work of the photo eye is to check whether any object or person is interrupting the door to shut down. It shoots a laser in the way of the garage to check whether there are any obstacles. It will disrupt the signal of the gate if any blockage is detected. So check whether the photo-eye is damaged or cut off.

#2 Disruption of power source

Though it is a very silly mistake, it is very common in our regular life. For instance, specs are in our hands and we check all around our house for that specs. So check whether you unplug the power source.

#3 Breakings of torsion springs

It is one of the most common reasons why your garage door won’t open all the way according to the mechanic or professionals. Well, a torsion spring helps to maintain the balance of your gate. Well, it breaks with the sound of a firecracker or gunshots. If this thing happens don’t try to fix it on your own.

#4 Loosening or cracking of cables

Most often your cables crack down when your torsion spring breaks. This cable can also cause harm to your vehicles. If your cables have snapped or cracked down, call on a professional to help you.

#5 Error in remote control

The most common errors in the case of your remote control can be as follows:

  • The remote control might be out of its range.
  • The door’s antenna might be out of order.
  • The Remote’s battery must be broke.

#6 Displacing from track

Displacing of track of your door means your door is out of alignment from that metal track. So, check it out whether it is on track or not. Besides, check for any bends, bumps, or hindrances that are disrupting or not.

#7 Turn on “Disconnect”

In your garage door, there is an option for disconnecting your connection to the garage so that you can work manually if load shedding occurs or at that time you are out of electricity connection. Check whether you mistakenly turn it off or not.

#8 Adjustment of limit settings

Well for understanding the issue check whether your door opens up right after closing or touching the ground.

#9 Obstacles comes on the way

A garage door will automatically go in its opposite direction if any obstacles come in the way. Check whether there is any dirt, rocks, sands, or trash.

#10 Misbalancing of sensitivity

If you buy a new door check your sensitivity level. If you set your sensitivity too low or too high then your door will not open up.
