Many people in recent years have been working from home, but this year a huge amount of people were asked to work from home, most never having done so before. Working from home is a huge adjustment to make even in normal times, never mind these crazy times that we are currently living in!
Many companies are now looking at having people working from home long term – if you are going to be working at home for the foreseeable future, you may want your home office set up to be a bit more permanent and suitable for long term working. Here are a few things to think about when creating an office at home…
Make the Most of the Space you Have – Many of us won’t have a huge area of space that we can dedicate to an office at our disposal. But we can make the most of what space we have – a small space such as the area under the stairs can make a great office – make sure that you are well organised and use storage well to stop it from being cluttered – look at a company such as Rackzone a shelving Ireland based company for shelving and storage ideas.
Create a Space – Another way you can make an office space suitable for working at home is to create your own new space. A garden room is ideal for using as an office as it keeps you separate from the household distractions. It can also be used as a lovely chillout room on the weekends when you are not at work.
