Use It as a First Aid Tool

Bleeding should always be stopped quickly. If you don’t have first aid materials on hand, wrapping duct tape around a wound can slow down the bleeding. There are many ways duct tape can assist in first aid.

Catch Flies

Summer brings about unwanted pests, especially flies. You can cut a few strips of duct tape and hang it from the ceiling and around the house. Doing this will catch the flies, and you can throw the tape in the bin. You’ll be fly-free without spending money on expensive sprays.

Use For Repairs

If you’re going camping, you’ll need a suitable tent. Holes in tents can lead to leaks from the rain and bring in cold air. You don’t need any expensive tools to fix the problem. Place some duct tape over the hole, and you’ll remain warm and dry. Duct tape can fix most things, including car issues, clothes, and household items.

Although it probably isn’t a great idea to use duct on your piping for a long period of time. If you have a leak or problem with your heating you are better off contacting a Boiler Installation Gloucester  way such as redbridgeandsons.co.uk/heating-systems-gloucestershire/boiler-installation-gloucester to come and sort the issue for you. Duct tape will only hold for so long!

Waterproof Footwear

If you’re going camping or fishing or you expect to be in wet and muddy conditions, waterproof footwear is essential. You don’t need to head straight to the shops; instead, you can use duct tape. Wrap it around your trainers and overlap the edges of each row. Cut little V’s into the edges of the tape to ensure it goes around the contours of the shoe.

Clean Your Clothes

You love a cuddle with your cat, but the mounds of hair she leaves behind can be frustrating. If you don’t have a lint roller, grab your duct tape. Wrap a strip around your hand with the sticky side up, then roll it over your clothes. The hair will be picked up quickly and easily. Remember to use a rocking motion and don’t wipe because it may damage the material.
