We started with coasters

Let’s start this craft that I’ve seen on the blog. First, cut the ribbon and a sheet of tissue paper larger than the tile size. Search the Internet photographs of tropical leaves you would like to capture in your coasters and adjust them to the size of the tile. You can, for example, on a sheet of Word. Put the printer tissue paper and prints the sheet in this paper. Trace the outline of the tile on the leaves and trim.

Sheet transfer to the tile

Then add a moderate amount of glue on the tile and spread it evenly with the sponge. Place the paper on the tile, letting the backside of the print and glue adheres to the blade is in sight, and press gently; carefully removing wrinkles may be possible but avoid tearing the paper. You can also do with paper napkins using the technique of decoupage.

Drying and finishing

Let stand to dry for about 10 minutes (or as directed by the manufacturer) and then sprayed with sealant. Once completely dry, glue the felt pads on the back, one in each corner, so you will not arrays the surface of the table where the favorite when ready to use, especially if the tile is not polished by this face.

The full game

If you want to create a complete set of coasters make this process more tiles, with a different tropical sheet for each of them, for example.

An extra with other DIY to make a decorative coasters

Let’s see another easy craft to make more coasters, but other than these tropical style on tiles. It is very simple.

To do need:

  • A thin sheet of cork.
  • A permanent marker in your favorite color.

First, cut the cork sheet with the way you want to give your coasters. We have made round and the truth is that they are very nice. Then, draw geometric patterns (stripes, polka dots, what comes to mind) on the coaster. In addition, have your creation ready to surprise all guests to your summer party! You can use the same color or play with different shades. You can also use special paint to decorate making compositions with different colors. For more click here http://evolutionsofar.com/.
