What type of floor tile does your kitchen have? It is important that you learn how to clean the kitchen floor based on the material it is made of so that it looks perfect and lasts longer.
Cooking without staining is an impossible mission. To a greater or lesser extent, it is normal for us to dirty. Pots, pans, the ceramic hob, the oven and, of course, the floor.

Whether it is because pieces of food fall when we are chopping the ingredients that we are going to use, that some liquid splashes or worse because a jug or plate falls and its content ends up scattered on the floor.

This is why it is so important to clean the kitchen floor tile regularly and properly. Not only to fix possible disasters but also to maintain the hygiene of this space.

All of us at some point have had to clean the kitchen floor and we have wondered if we are doing it correctly. It is very important to pay attention to the material from which the floor is made so as not to damage it since a natural wooden floor does not need the same care as a ceramic one.

Of course, our goals are to leave a spotless floor tile, without marks or stains; that it is disinfected and that it looks like new.

For this, these are the basic steps for any type of soil. Then we will see what to take into account depending on the material.

Remove debris by hand

With absorbent or kitchen paper, you must remove any splashes or food debris that may be on the floor, especially when they are liquid or greasy, to avoid spreading them later with the broom.

Ideally, we should do this as the food falls to the floor, to avoid leaving a mark and making it easier to clean.

In case we cannot do it and the food remains harden, we will have to scratch them with a sponge or even with a scraper if it is very difficult to remove. To soften such stains, mix water and baking soda to form a paste. Let it act on the stain.

Then try using the sponge on the soft side moistened with water with a pinch of baking soda. If it does not come out, then we would use the scraper but always being very careful not to scratch the floor tile.

And a trick for when the soil gets wet or stained but we have to continue using it: to avoid stepping on it and end up filling everything with footprints, once we have collected the liquid that has fallen, we can put some sheets of newspaper or some magazine on the floor. In this way, we can tread without fear of continuing to stain everything with our shoes.

Sweep or vacuum dust

Once we have removed this type of debris from the ground, we can sweep or vacuum the surface to remove dust and solid debris that may have fallen. It is very important not to skip this step because when scrubbing, we can leave the floor worse than it was if we don’t.

Get a bucket with a drainer and a good mop for the step that closes the basic cleaning of any floor tile. When we want to disinfect, the most normal thing is to use water and bleach or ammonia (never together!) Or a specific product to clean floors.
